5th Street Was Smokin’

It was the 2013 Gilroy Garlic City Fun Run & Car Show – with lighting of the famous Garlic Festival garlic bulb.

It was worth the bike ride …

… and a buck for iced tea.

This wasn’t just any city’s 5th Street!

I decided to pedal on downtown. It was pretty warm, but there were some pretty cool looking vintage rides – making the pedaling worthwhile.

Monterey Street, between 4th and 6th was closed off and turned into a chrome showcase. Boy was it hot though!

Halfway between 5th Street and 6th Street, on the west side of Monterey Street, I found a small Mexican bakery with a treasure – Arizona iced tea. It definitely took the edge off of the heat.

Who let the snakes and horses out? A Shelby GT500 and 289 red wrapped engine were worth my ride on two wheels.

I’ll try to add some additional non-Fordish videos later this week 😉
